Freo Dub Club is back from its winter break and turning 2, so were going all out for this one,  taking the party back to where it all began...

Not just any band... but one of our all-time favourites:

SUB-TRIBE (LIVE NZ/NSW) | Aotearoa Dub-Fusion Powerhouse

From the raw, roots-driven frequencies of Aotearoa (New Zealand) comes SUB-TRIBE. Rolling in thick with bottom end, glitchy beats, and soaring harmonies, this 7-piece outfit delivers a genre-hopping journey, from blues-drenched dub and chunky skank reggae to jazz-hop and ragga dancehall. SUB-TRIBE leave no groove base unturned.

Bringing a fresh and distinctive approach to bass and reggae culture, their high-energy live performances and feel-good vibes consistently leave crowds skanking for more.

Their musical journey kicked off in 2017, supporting NZ legends Salmonella Dub on their East Coast tour of Australia. Since then, SUB-TRIBE have honed their sound, releasing music and performing at festivals and venues across Australasia - carving out whats now described as unprecedented dub-fusion.

2019 marked the release of debut single Next Phase, followed by Whos That, a smooth summer lovers rock tune, and Tribute - a heartfelt homage to Bob Marley, born from a viral tour-van jam. These tracks laid the foundation for their debut EP in 2020, a five-track showcase of sub-bass conviction and genre-fusing flair - followed by the remix EP SUB-DUBS, featuring dub legends like 420 Sound, Chris Munky, and Lotek (UK).

SUB-TRIBE have since graced major stages including WOMADelaide, Good Love Festival, and headlined QLD favourites Kuranda Roots and Island Vibes. In 2023, they kicked off the year at Jammin Festival, sharing the lineup with J Boog, Fiji, Steel Pulse, and The OG Wailers - cementing their reputation as one of Australasias most exciting live dub acts.

And now - theyre finally coming to WA!

Weve been dreaming of this one, and cant wait to finally welcome Sub-Tribe to the West!
