Between singles from his forthcoming new album, Melbourne songwriter Al Matcott gives fans a special treat in the form of a stripped back and intimate standalone single All The Better For.
"All The Better For came from a guitar melody I made up and played at the wedding of some friends of mine. I thought it'd be a love song, but it sounded forlorn and I'm generally blue all the time, so I brought it down to my level." To celebrate Matcott is stepping out in duo mode with Joe Orton on pedal steel for an evening of late-winter up-close right-there-in-the-feels at the Merri Creek Tavern on Sunday 24th August.
With support from Jess Deluca.
