After a series of successful performances worldwide, an internationally acclaimed pianist Alex Parkmen is bringing his latest program IN THE MOOD to Ashfield. A graduate of Kiev Conservatorium, Alex was trained as both classical and jazz pianist. He always sought to combine the two genres, to experiment and improvise. On the night he will be performing a wide variety of compositions from classical piano tunes to quirky jazz arrangements.

And to add some French flavour its a Bastille Day celebration!!! Alex will play a few timeless masterpieces by Debussy, Ravel, Chopin as well as some popular hits by Piaf, Legrand, Mauriat, Dassin, Petrucciani, and his own melodic originals.

ABOUT ALEX PARKMEN | Alex Parkmen was born in Odessa, Ukraine. He began to study music at the age of three. By the age of six, Alex was acknowledged as a child prodigy and was accepted to the famous Stoliarsky school for musically gifted children. After eleven years of studying, Alex joined Kiev Conservatorium where he was trained as both classical and jazz pianist.

Now based in Sydney, Alex calls Australia home and performs in many venues, both solo as well as with other musicians, across the country. He also participates in various international music festivals. And at every performance Alex Parkmen delights audiences around the world with his brilliant technique and mesmerizing artistry.

GETTING THERE | The Polish Club Ashfield is located 182 Liverpool Road, Ashfield. Pedestrian access is only available from Liverpool Road.

TRAIN | We are conveniently only a 5 minute walk from Ashfield Train Station. Take the Brown Street Exit from the train station, and continue up Browns Street until you reach Liverpool Road. Cross the road and continue left. The destination will be on your right.

PARKING | We are delighted to welcome our guests to park their vehicles in our underground carpark. The entrance is located via 73 Norton Street. You can easily enter the club from the carpark using the lift. Alternatively, there is always plenty of street parking in the surrounding area with access to the club via the front entrance on 182 Liverpool Road.

CHECK-IN | Ensure to arrive 15 minutes prior to the event to be able to check-in at reception. Members can easily scan their members card, and guests can either scan their drivers license or become an associate member for $2. Allow 5 minutes to become a member. Members receive 10% discount on selected items.

DINNER AT STO LAT | Pair this event with a dinner (5:00pm 9:00pm) reservation at Sto Lat Restaurant. Bookings highly recommended to avoid wait time on the day.
