Five-piece Victorian based alt rockn roll band Bones and Jones are well renowned for their unique brand of infectiously memorable songwriting and impressively tight live show. With two albums and a collaborative EP with Folk Bitch Trio to their name, the bands output matches the frenetic energy of their live show which has seen them support notable artists including King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, The Nude Party (USA), The Murlocs, Twin Peaks (USA) and appear at festivals including Port Fairy Folk Festival, Meadow, Boogie Festival and more.
Following their third LP Love You (released June 23rd), the band are embarking on an extensive 17-date AUS tour including shows in: Melbourne, Brisbane, Mt Tamborine, Eltham, Yamba, Canberra, Wollongong, Sydney, Newcastle, Hobart, Adelaide, Margaret River, Fremantle, Darwin, Rye, Castlemaine and Torquay.
Forming during highschool in Victorian town Geelong and now based out of an old apple orchard on the Victorian surf coast/Wathaurong Country the band draws inspiration from the landscape that surrounds them and their decade long friendships within the band. Their blend of country-tinged vintage rock is coupled with a contemporary energy that allows them to feel familiar without being stuck in a revivalist pigeonhole. This impressive melting pot of sounds and memorable hooks has been recognised by NME, The Guardian, Triple J and has seen the bands most recent album Ginger Gold (Farm Singles) nominated for the prestigious Australian Music Prize and Victorian Music Awards.
With their recent singles My Friend, Taxi, and I've Got a Voice the bands ability to write endearing, hook-filled rock music has reached a new peak and is the perfect example of the emotive power that their songs have. These new singles show a band reaching new heights and is a sign of the sonic maturity that is to come on their upcoming new album.
