C.A.S.S. CLUB x Girls Night In

GROOVE GALS @ THE WORKERS CLUB is a double headliner show highlighting young women in music, exploring fusion, and presenting a whole lotta passion.

Cassie, And the Slow Sundays Club, more affectionately known as C.A.S.S. CLUB, is Melbourne based vocalist Cassie Barker-McLarens fusion band, mixing her eclectic singer-songwriter originals with sultry bass lines and a touch of groove. With a rotating bunch of fab musicians to stage her tunes, this evening features an expanded 7 piece band for the first time ever, bringing to life her passion project with an eclectic mix of jazz, folk, funk, and indie rock, all born out of sheer love.

Girl Night In is an all female jazz collective that hosts a smorgasbord of performers. The groups aim is to foster a supportive, inclusive space where female-identifying jazz musicians feel confident, heard, and creatively free. Girl Night Ins constant flux of band members has fueled their expansive experimentation with sound, blending Nu Jazz and Folk, and creating a collaborative ensemble featuring vocals, guitar, bass, keys, drums, saxophone, strings and more.
