Content Source: OztixSome of you close to us might know that while we were rehearsing for our last tour, one of our band members received the heartbreaking news that their best mate had taken their own life. We dont want to go into too many details, other than to say that from that experience of the shock, the tour that followed, and the grieving process that came after, we wrote something special.
Sunflower is a song about a subject thats often hard to talk about. Told from the perspective of those whove been impacted by loss, and of those who have felt there was no other option, weve taken care to approach it using language chosen with care and respect.
Writing Sunflower became something more than just a song. It inspired us to write, record, film a video, and create The Sunflower Tour. It isnt just a run of shows, this tour is a tribute dedicated to remembrance, connection, and hope.
Were ready to hit the road to hug, scream, cry and laugh it out with you.
In classic Clay J style, were not holding anything back on this tour. Alongside our good friends Brooklyn Comic, well be setting the OZ east coast on fire.
