The Barwon Club community will be coming together to support
The Weir Family on
Sunday 29th March, 2026 for
Cut for Naomi Standing Together Fundraiser event for a Sunday Arvo of tunes & togertherness with
Dr. Colossus, Social Haunts & The Louds.
Dave Weir our legendary soundy alongside his family have been fighting through issues with his wife Naomi's health as she has been through extensive treatment, including a stem cell transplant earlier this year. Sadly, her illness has returned and doctors have now advised that the focus is on comfort, quality of life, and making meaningful memories with her family.
Mick Ryan from
The Louds will be cutting his hair to stand in solidarity with Naomi, who is living with MDS-EB2, a rare and aggressive blood cancer.
In the coming weeks, Naomi will begin further treatment that may help extend time with loved ones. While there are many unknowns ahead, what is certain is the importance of surrounding this family with care, kindness, and practical support.
The event is aiming to raise
$3,000, with all funds going directly to Naomi, her husband David, and their family to help ease financial pressure and allow them to focus on what matters mosttime together.
As part of this fundraiser, Mick will be donating his hair to the Worlds Greatest Shave, where it can be turned into wigs for people undergoing cancer treatment.
If youre able to donate, share, or simply keep the family in your thoughts, it all makes a difference. Thank you for standing with Naomi.
Fundraiser features support from an amazing lineup of talent.
