Dallas Crane are in the grand tradition of great Australian rock bands. So it was no surprise when they were declared Best Live Band at the Australian Live Music Awards, which led to them representing Australia at the International Live Music Awards in London.

As Australian Musician magazine noted, Dallas Crane have always been one of Australias hardest-working bands and eternally give their heart and soul to every performance.
Their fans include Tim Rogers, who declared: Dallas Crane is the best band in the country. You Am I even gave them a shout-out in their classic Who Put The Devil In You (From Dallas Crane to Motley Crue, oh!).

Dallas Crane are a go-to special guest, having played with The Who, Cheap Trick, Cold Chisel, Def Leppard, Teenage Fanclub, Hoodoo Gurus, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Black Keys and KISS. STACK magazine called Dallas Crane The Last Great Pub Rock Band. And theres no doubt their roots are definitely in Australias famous pub rock scene. But theyre also a festival favourite, having headlined the St Kilda Festival and played at the Big Day Out, Homebake, the Ballarat Beer Festival and SXSW in Austin, Texas.

In the studio, Dallas Crane have produced five acclaimed albums; two for the legendary Alberts label, including the Top 40 smash Factory Girls.
Sit On My Knee, their collaboration with Jimmy Barnes on Barnesys chart-topping Double Happiness album was a top 20 breakthrough for the band.
Dallas Crane have also been nominated for three ARIA Awards, including Best Rock Album for their self-titled set.
The Australians Andrew McMillen called the bands most recent studio album, Scoundrels, a towering achievement that sees Dallas Crane exhibiting that key-in-lock feel sought by every rock band. These four players are masters of their craft.
And Rolling Stone awarded the record four stars, noting that the fact Dallas Crane have grown into a smarter, better band is no surprise.

Dallas Crane will celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2026. A mighty achievement, but this is a band thats firmly focused on the future.

As The Ages Craig Mathieson observed, By dint of songwriting strength, ease of expression and a touch of studio sweat, Dallas Crane stay on the right side of the great divide, between being timeless and out of time.

For rock fans, Dallas Crane is a band you can rely upon. As Dave Larkin sings in Sit On My Knee, Im your friend for life.
