Step into history and creativity at the David Hinchliffe Art Exhibition at Newstead House, Brisbanes oldest surviving residence. Running from 12 October to 21 December, the exhibition showcases Hinchliffes celebrated impressionist works, thoughtfully displayed throughout the heritage rooms of the house.

Visitors are invited to wander at their own pace, discovering the art as it weaves seamlessly into the historic setting. Alternatively, they can participate in a guided or self-guided tour to hear the fascinating stories of Newstead House and its place in Brisbanes history.

This rare combination of art and heritage offers a memorable encounter, where the timeless charm of the citys past meets the creativity of one of its most recognised artists.

Open Fridays from 10am to 2pm and Sundays from 10am to 4pm, the exhibition invites you to explore Hinchliffes paintings as they are displayed throughout the historic rooms of the house. Visitors can choose to wander at their own pace, go on a self-guided tour of Newstead House, or join a guided tour led by volunteers where the story of Newsteads past comes to life alongside the art. Volunteer-led guided tours take place on Fridays at 11:30am, and Sundays at 11:30am and 2pm.
