Dean & the Dollarbirds (Short Film): Front Bar Fundraiser Party w/ Salmon Sisters, Howl and the Sloppy Jalopies

Come celebrate the short film with us which will begin shooting in early October. 

The front bar fundraiser party will be held in hopes to raise money for the budget of the film though the event is also free to attend. Performances from the Salmon Sisters, Howl, and the Sloppy Jalopies will provide entertainment throughout, and options to win some raffle prizes will too.

Dean and the Dollarbirds is an offbeat comedy about a Melbourne musician in hiding who struggles with his decision to begin performing again. 

Our story follows Graham, the guitarist of the small Melbourne band Dean and the Dollarbirds. 

After urinating on himself while performing, Graham suffered a mental breakdown and vanished from the public eye. He now lives like a hermit in an abandoned junkyard where believes he is truly able to live free from restrictions that are straining live music. 

The Dollarbirds visit Graham, and try to get him to come back. They eventually convince him with the help of their new manager Stella. Although, Grahams return relies on the condition that they dont play the show at a pub but rather at Grahams yard, where they are free from noise complaints.
