Finding Better Health aspire to find universality in the specific; to write colossal, life affirming rock songs about tiny fleeting moments.

Originally hailing from north-west Sydney and now spread across NSW, the band takes cues from a similarly broad slate of genres: post-rock, folk, shoegaze and emo have all played equal roles in defining the anthemic highs and tender lows of their discography.

In early 2025, the band spent three days in the Snowy Mountains to finish writing A Place I Once Called Home. Amongst the vast natural landscapes and volatile weather, the band eschewed the post-hardcore aggression of their earlier releases, with the resulting sound blending the existentialist intensity of acts like Touche Amore, Arms Length and Ceres with splashes of the pastoral folk and alt-country stylings of boygenius and Wednesday.

Recorded, mixed and mastered by ARIA-nominated producer Clayton Segelov and Angie Watson at The Brain Studios, A Place I Once Called Home, harnesses the groups emotional lyricism and anthemic hooks to deliver their most life-affirming set of songs yet.

To celebrate its release, the self-styled sorta heavy band from Sydney will be hitting the Hamilton Station Hotel on February 20th, alongside Trophy Wife, Gratitude, and Talkhouse.
