On a Saturday in November, two rare birds: Rachel Burke (artist, designer, tinsel alchemist, and author) and Patience Hodgson (artist, MC, and incandescent frontwoman of The Grates) fling open a door into a garden that needed to exist. A place where flowers wear rhinestones, puppies sing in harmony, and the air itself rustles with tulle.
At the Latvian Club (the splendid palace in Woolloongabba) ordinary things will forget themselves. Puppies and petals pirouette together in a gardenbed of colour: part musical, part fashion show, part dreamscape and workshop. A one-night-only celebration of play, tenderness, and unbridled joy.
When the curtain sighs shut, the night does not end, for the crafting will begin! Needles and gems, glue and laughter: Behold! You have created very own puppy hat, a crown for the night's new kingdom.
Bring snacks, bring drinks, bring your most flower-puppyful look (only if you fancy). The garden is waiting, and it only opens once...
