Melbournes Great Falls have been steadily carving out a space in the local scene with their evocative, guitar-driven sound. 2023 saw Great Falls release their debut 12" EP Negatives into Positives, a catalogue exploring the complexities of relationships and finding the path to better understanding them, to high praise. Since then, they have racked up one heck of a list of Triple J plays, online and printed press kudos. Think jangly overdriven guitars, slinky bass-lines and songs that are steeped with a sickly sweet nostalgia.
The band continues to push forward with their new single 'Radioinactive', a track that deepens their sonic palette and signals an exciting new chapter.
The night will feature sets from some of Great Falls favourite local acts Tom Lyngcoln, known for his raw, experimental approach to songwriting and commanding solo performances; and Comets, a Melbourne instrumental psych jam band.
Classic indie Australian delivery; hi-pass guitars introduce the song with lead singer Lillians rich vocals following suit; its enchanting and uplifting (Chris Lamaro, AAA Backstage). Meanwhile, Broken 8 Records praised their debut as an EP that demonstrates the strengths of the bands thriving dynamic, positioning Great Falls as ones to watch.

The song then bursts into colour with sultry, dream-like indie fuzz melded to a shimmery, shiny melody that cascades with waves of the aforementioned noodling guitar layers and a rhythm section as smooth as satin that's enriched by gorgeous violin tones. Scenestr, 2023.
