Now signed to Third Eye Stimuli Records, Leah Senior continues to enchant with her vivid lyricism and a voice that soars with disarming clarity. People Pleaser captures her hypnotic folk sensibility while introducing a sharper, droning edge that nods to The Velvet Underground a song that calls us back to our own small world amid the noise.
For this special headline show at Bell City Take Away, Leah will perform with her full band, bringing the single to life alongside favourites from her celebrated catalogue. Shell be joined by Break Fast and Old Places for what promises to be a spellbinding (almost) summer afternoon of folk.

The Old Places sound could be described as psychedelic bushwalking music. Or the last leg of a long roadtrip with the family. Head on a pillow against the window. Eyes daydream across a slideshow of heavily altered landscapes. The unmoving horizon. Blur past boom and bust towns. Blur past entire lives. Stopping for lunch in the quiet shade beside the memorial plaque. Empty spaces. Things left unsaid. Drone of tyres on bitumen still ringing in your ears. Sun on the skin, dry gumleaves on the wind.

Break Fast is what happens when you wake up in the morning and remember the dreams and spirits your imagination conjured up the night before. Sounds folky. Made up of Amada Monteirox on bass (Checkpoint / Gutter Girls / Carpet Burn), Pierce Morton on pedal steel (Robot Fox / Chimpanzee / Cool Sounds / many more) and Bek Tankard on guitar and vocals.
