Fooling You is a high tempo, on-the-run spaghetti jangle tune with hints of surf twang throughout. A short but sweet song, but filled with powerful and dramatic chord changes throughout the choruses. The song comes in big and loud, but stays all the way to the end. For the video wanted to create something with that all famous Ed Sullivan-esque feel, shot on an all white film stage. The song is about being tricked into changing oneself, changing to fit in but then later realising you have been playing the game of social charades. So then you call it out and morph back to where you were supposed to be. Never change yourself to please others. Just be you.
