LUKE HEGGIE: YUCK
Luke Heggie has been dabbling with new trends, such as monetising a contrived identity, and debating actual facts on the internet. But he also has to be able to sleep at night.
If you consider you love yourself to be more of a compliment than a preamble to a fight, you use a passport as identification in your own country, you make your kids come and watch you play sport, you develop a lisp when you say a Spanish word, you've ever said that you have a great sense of humour, or you fill up with premium unleaded, then do not come to this show.
The majority used to be a bit more silent, making them bearable. Internet users have described Luke Heggie as a flog, brilliant, a lefty wanker, a fascist, a comedian at the peak of his power, disgraceful, and the best in the land. Come and make your own mind up. Or not. Nobody really cares what you do. No lowbreeds please.

Comic favourite Luke Heggie is known for his dry deadpan style and the ability to deliver a brand new killer comedy show year after year. He gigs relentlessly 6 or 7 nights a week and tours the biggest comedy and arts festivals in Australia and New Zealand to sell out crowds and rave reviews. Luke also has a fan base in UK by taking his harsh but fair shows about idiots to crowds at Londons Soho Theatre.

Starting out as RAW Comedy winner and going up from there Lukes accolades include a two-time ARIA Award nominee for Best Comedy Release, the coveted comics choice Piece of Wood Award at the 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the 2015 Sydney Comedy Festivals Directors Choice Award, and was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2012 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Most recently, Heggie was nominated for Most Outstanding Show at 2021 Melbourne International Comedy Festival and won Best Show at 2021 Sydney Comedy Festival with the critically acclaimed show LOWBREED.

Luke Heggies television appearances include performing live on the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festivals Opening Night Allstars Supershow, Melbourne International Comedy Festivals Oxfam Gala, Just for Laughs Stand-Up Series filmed live at the Sydney Opera House for the Comedy Channel, you would have also seen him on The Project, ABCs Question Everything, ABCs Comedy Next Gen and Comedy Up Late

In 2020 Luke started a chart-topping podcast with fellow comedian Nick Cody called Mid-Flight Brawl, cataloguing the best all time air rage incidents, generally resulting from any old tiprat being allowed to fly now.

Over the years Luke Heggie has released multiple hour long stand up specials including his 2018s TIP RAT (Network 10, TENPLAY & YouTube), 2019s HAVE THAT (Network 10, TENPLAY & YouTube) and most recently 2022s I ALREADY TOLD YOU (Paramount +). You can also check outLuke in print with his first book entitled If you must know, featuring the transcripts of 3 of his most revered shows complete with illustrations by Emilie Protiere.

Through 2022 & 2023 Luke Heggie has written and produced multiple segments for ABCs The Weekly with Charlie Pickering. Turning fan favourite stand up comedy into bite sized semi-educational comedic skits. Luke has tackled many different hot topics including, the cost of healthcare, modern masculinity and the short term rental crisis, among many other things.

Heggie constantly wrongfoots his crowd who have no choice but to roar with approval as we take in his Banjo Patterson meets Chopper Read wisdom and finally find out who really wins bar fights. A knock-out.

"Heggie has the ability to articulately convey what we've been thinking in impressive monologues that have us in stitches by the end of the show."

Every bit is delivered in the same stony-faced deadpan, but you never know where its going. A comedian in complete command of his powers, Heggie is a true one-off.

Rapid-fire laughs across a vast landscape of subjects, finished off with a delightful musical treat to send everyone home with a song in their heart.
