Boundary-defying composer and producer Laurel Halo joins MESS co-founder Robin Fox to explore a soundworld that drifts between ambient, jazz and avant-pop.

From the acclaimed 2012 debut Quarantine to the masterful Atlas described as a potent set of sensual ambient jazz collages comprised of orchestral clouds, shades of modal harmony, hidden sonic details, and detuned, hallucinatory textures Laurel Halo continues to reshape the electronic music landscape.

A frequent collaborator with artists including Bendik Giske, Lucy Railton and Moritz von Oswald, Halo brings a tender, textural depth to experimental sound. This conversation opens a portal into process, practice and the evolving potential of listening.
