From the NSW country town of Picton (population 5000) to the biggest global stages in country music, singer-songwriter Missy Lancaster has already come a long way.
Missys list of accomplishments reads like someone far beyond her years - #1 ARIA Country charting debut album, worldwide major label record deals, Golden Guitar and CMC Award nominations, 80 million streams and performances at the biggest country music festivals in the USA, Australia and NZ, including CMA Fest and CMC Rocks. Channel 7 named Missy Australias Version of Taylor Swift following the success of her debut EP Missy, which exploded onto Country Radio.
But despite all these signifiers of incredible success, Missy knew that she hadnt realised her full potential as an artist. Stepping back from her solo career, Missy delved deeper into her songwriting craft, writing with Nashvilles songwriting A-list and scoring cuts with other artists across the country and pop worlds, breaking into high rotation on mainstream radio as a writer. She also formed all-female country supergroup Southbound and took her high-energy stagecraft to another level.
Assembling her deepest, most meaningful and best-crafted material to date, Missy tapped chart-topping Nashville producer Josh Kerr (Morgan Wallen) and set out to create an album that would finally showcase Missy Lancaster at her absolute best.
Im so proud of all the music Ive released, but I know this new album is the first time Ive really captured all of who I am in an album. The journey of the last few years, dealing with my mental health struggles and finding an new level of strength and understanding of myself, Ive poured it all into these songs and I cant wait for people to hear them.
Missy has been giving fans a taste of her new music on the road with Rachael Fahim for her national tour throughout the first half of 2025, with new singles and touring set for later in the year as she writes her eagerly awaited new chapter.
