About The Panel:

Paul Blakey has been a professional musician and is now a sought-after mastering engineer based on the Gold Coast. A trained (but not practising) lawyer, Paul spent years as a member of the Copyright Society of Australia, has owned part of a boutique publishing firm and has held a passionate interest in copywriter and creative ownership rights for a period resembling forever. This experience prompted Paul to have a special interest on AI from its outset ... specifically its impact on rights holders.

Lucy Fisher is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Communication at Bond University and board member for The Farm. Her career began in London working in creative consumer PR agencies before returning to Australia where she led Ruby Public Relations (now Sabio) as General Manager and was the Director of the Gold Coast Film Festival from 2015-2020. After completing an MBA, Lucy joined Bond University in 2023 where she teaches public relations, communication and social media subjects. She is currently working toward a PhD examining publicity stunt practice.  Lucy has a deep interest in the use of AI in communication and is undertaking a research project on AI use in social media and has been involved in the development of policies and processes for AI use by communication students.

Brad Hosking is co-Chair of the Gold Coast Music Awards judging panel, an accomplished musician, award-winning studio producer and lecturer. A classically-trained euphonium player, he has has written literally hundreds of jingles for brands all over the world and co-wrote and produced Amy Sharks Golden Fleece that won a 2016 Queensland Music Award while also carving out a niche producing some of the countrys best brass bands. As well as being a lecturer in contemporary music, and mentoring and supporting dozens of local artists, Brad also volunteers his time as an advisory group member and co-chair of the Gold Coast Music Awards, also taking out the first ever Studio Producer of the Year Award in 2022.

Samantha Morris is a professional facilitator, trainer and community engagement specialist working predominantly in the conservation and land management sectors.
