In 2024 the event is free and the ticket cost covers your return ferry transfer from Rose Bay wharf.
Bring a picnic to share with family and friends, including responsible amounts of alcohol. Roll out your rug and settle in for an amazing night. There will be no alcohol or food to purchase on the island.

Bag searches will be conducted before boarding the ferry. There are limits to what you can bring to Shark Island because of the ferry's restricted carrying capacity. You can bring hand luggage that you can carry on your lap on your trip to the island.
Marshal at Lyne Park, Rose Bay, 30 minutes before your allocated ferry departure time.
Ferries depart Shark Island at 9:30pm (following the 9pm fireworks) and at 12:30am and 1:15am on January 1st 2024
