Dance Wave and Lo.tess present:

Odyssey a world fusion gathering

Join us for an intimate and social evening of world fusion artistry, music, performance, high-vibe nourishment, and community connection. Odyssey invites you into a rich tapestry of cultural beauty that honours the ancient arts into modern realms, celebrating sacred global and tribal sounds with expansive expression.

We are deeply honoured to welcome David Balaban, a master of Indian Classical Sitar, accompanied by the incredible artist Manmit Singh on tabla. Together they bring over 20 years of mastery, weaving transcendent rhythms of Classical Indian music performance and music education.

Carrying the energy deeper into the night, Lo.tess will guide you into the realms of global and temple bass, fusing deep, low-end frequencies, dripping with super slinky sounds that move between the grounding and divine.

Rounding out the evening, Elkemist will take us on a multi-genre journey of tribal sounds and ethnic rhythms, complete with his signature looping of live instrumentation and vocals seamlessly entwined into a voyage of sonic alchemy.

Accompanying each set, Sarah Moulton one of Australias leading Fusion Belly Dance artists and teachers will be weaving her magic and beauty through various forms of Fusion Belly Dance expression with deeply powerful and graceful performances.

Throughout the night, settle into the warm and wonderful delights of herbal wizardry, intricately crafted by alchemist and master herbalist Martinus Medicinus. Bringing along his signature blends of chai, cacao, elixirs and other nourishing treats including bliss balls and warming soup, Martinus will delight our senses as we dance and connect. (Food and elixirs will be available by cash/card).

This sacred gathering is held on the stolen land of the sovereign Wurundjeri people. We recognise that we have benefited from colonialism and acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the wisdom-keepers of the waters, trees, lands and animals, and it is our intention with this acknowledgement to help heal the connection between all beings of the larger Kulin nation, activating the blackfella/whitefella dreaming that has been prophesied to bring us into balance and harmony, for the betterment of all.
