Passionate Spanish flamenco guitarist, Paco Lara with a distinguished career in Europe and Australia of more than 30 years touring internationally alongside some of the greatest artists and maestro legends of flamenco in Spain, presents a very special and intimate evening of authentic flamenco at Avoca Beach Theatre. A show featuring a fusion of music, song and flamenco dance performed by Lara and his talented ensemble.
Interpretations of themes from his latest album Duende and his highly successful album, the Andalusian Guitar, including some of the greatest guitar classics of all time will be performed by Lara with the characteristic and unmistakable sound (toque) of Jerez (Spain).
Paco Lara is considered one of the best flamenco guitarists from his generation. In 2017 he migrated to NSW from Jerez, the heartland of flamenco in Spain, and now his style, halfway between traditional and contemporary flamenco, is contributing to an increased popularity and understanding of the genre in Australia.
With his recent successes at the Sydney Opera House and at Adelaide Guitar Festival (2021 and 2023) and his national album tours in 2022 and 2023, he has proved his flamenco guitar mastery.
Recognised as the most prominent flamenco guitarist living in Australia, Paco Lara and his troupe is a world class musical and cultural experience not to be missed!
