When a career moves as quick as PANIAs has, a year of reflection to tame the whirlwind of success seems imminent. I really wanted to stop for a moment and process all of these emotions, she says of 2024, Ive had a really busy two years. Everything was moving so fast.

Since the West Melbourners quick rise from 2021 with her debut single ICCY, PANIAs profile has been ever-growing. Yet aside from her accomplishments, the doors have also been opened to the pitfalls of being an introvert in the public and private eye, I feel like there's been a lot of things said, or misconceptions of the way people perceive me, but I've never really been one to go online or publicly say things. So, I'm like, let me just say it all in the music.

Whats resulted is her third and upcoming EP Coming 2 Terms, set for release later this year, which she describes as the four stages of coming to terms with everything. Through seven tracks she documents the changes that occur in friendships, life and self when a career starts moving quicker than it can be reflected on, while simultaneously presenting a bold new sense of purpose for PANIA. One shrouded in the self-assuredness and confidence that comes through a year of self-examination, observation and a growing sense of maturity.

When I released my single tiki in 2022, I had no expectations, but everything took off so quickly, says PANIA, This past year has been one of growth, self-reflection and learning to accept the past while focusing on the future. I know where Ive been and Im clear on where Im headed.

PANIAs step-back to hone her craft was also supplemented with a long-held habit of observing other artists. As a kid, the 2011 documentary, Never Say Never, that documented prepubescent Justin Bieber's success, inspired PANIA to journey into the early stages of her singing career, and in the last two years support slots on Australian tours for artists like Kehlani, Raye, Giveon and most recently, Coldplay have opened her eyes to the gold-standard of performing. Flowers and wine sent from Australian pop-icon herself, Kylie Minogue, further solidified that she was on the right path after performing a sultry interpretation of the artists hit song Cant Get You Out Of My Head on Triple Js like a version in 2024. Thats who Im trying to be at the same level as, she says of her international peers, I take time to watch and just soak up as much as I can whether its stage performance or how to move in industry spaces.

Sitting at the forefront of Australias R&B wave, PANIAs music has helped push boundaries for a new generation of artists looking to create change on Southern shores notably achieving titles like One To Watch by Rolling Stone and Vogue in 2023. That same year and in 2024 she was nominated for Best Soul/ R&B Release for her EPs P STANDS 4 PLAYA and We Still Young and has also garnered international coverage from the likes of GUAP Magazine, Colors and New Wave Magazine, with the buzz from her releases landing her on a New York City Times Square billboard as the Spotify Equal AU Ambassador, and saw her selling out her debut show at none other than the Sydney Opera House. But the opportunities kept coming, first as a keynote speaker at Australian Fashion week in 2024, invites to the NGV Gala Ball, and as the face of various campaigns including Converse and a Nike x Foot Locker collaboration.

In 2025, PANIA carries her desire to continue to achieve growth and bring the listener on a journey, Honestly, I just want people...I just want the world to hear the music and really resonate with it. That's the main thing, she says, And I feel that when the world resonates with the music, it'll take me to places that Ive always dreamed of.
