Learn about the tools, techniques and signs beekeepers look for as Jack and his team carefully open the hives and search for the queen bee. Taste honey straight from the hive and enjoy a flavour as fresh as the seasonal blossoms.Sessions run from Wednesday 8 to Friday 10 April at 9am, 10am, 11am and 12pm and go for 50 minutes. Tickets cost $12 per child and you get to take home a jar of honey! Suitable for kids aged 5-12. Due to the nature of this activity, please be mindful to wear long sleeves and long pants, just in case! Drop in to the Celebration Lawn from 9am1pm, Wednesday 8 Friday 10 April and Wednesday 15 Friday 17 April, where the rest of the main program is completely free. Kids can explore Cardboard City, a hands-on craft zone where they can build houses, schools, cars or anything their imagination dreams up. Creations can be taken home or added to the parks ever-growing city. Each day also features movement focused activities, from hip hop dance with Mad Dance House to Touch Football Skills with Billys Buddies and AFL Fun with Physi Kids.
