Extra Sensory Productions proudly presents DJ PROMOWay back in 2003, ESP had the honour of bringing PROMO to Australia for the first time headlining our Thrillseeker event. We knew one day we would need to bring him back!The King of Hardcore, PROMO is known worldwide for his dark style of unique kicks and catchy hooks which made him a pioneer of Industrial Hardcore. PROMO almost single handily carried the hardcore world from the late 1990s into the mid 2000s. In the early 90s it was all about hip hop & hip house. PROMO resonated with the darker of these styles until he heard hardcore and instantly knew where his heart belonged. Fusing the hip hop influences with Hardcore, PROMO released some early eps on major hardcore labels including Wazweazle, Hellsound, BZRK & ID&T.Soon PROMOs name was on everyones lips, his remix of Shut Up! (No Doubts Dont Speak) propelled him into the hardcore stratosphere. From that point, PROMO forged ahead releasing his highly successful Promo Files though ID&T. Soon after he created his own label The Third Movement which has led the hardcore scene, developing successful artists like Catscan, N-Vitral, Armageddon Project, D-Passion & many more.After the Promo Files came Promo Types, Promo Style & Promo Tests all series releasing multiple EPs each. More recently PROMO has released Promo File Remixes (remixed classics from various producers), The Unreleased Projects (previously unreleased tracks from a variety of years/styles) and the highly anticipated The First Rebirth (Promo Rework). There is not a hardcore event that PROMO has not played. Thunderdome, Defqon 1, Sensation Black, Harmony of Hardcore, Decibel and many, many more... Saturday 15th November 2025 at the Civic Underground, PROMO will be bringing us Underground Madness from 9pm alongside Sydneys own Nik Fish, Spellbound, Matrix, Crystal Mistortion, Skittlez, Refresh and Pebblez.
