After 27 years on-air, Screaming Symphony is turning the amps up one last time. The legendary PBS metal show thats been shredding the airwaves since the late 90s is saying farewell.
Join Peter and Gary for one last celebration of heavy metal.
Its all happening on Saturday December 13 at The Leadbeater Hotel in Richmond with good friends Black Majesty, Eyefear, Damnations Day, and one very special guest (to be announced).
As the first radio show of its kind in Australia to focus exclusively on progressive and power metal, Screaming Symphony has been a fierce supporter of the national scene, championing local legends, and introducing listeners to global sounds of steel. Known for its wit, detailed reviews, wild energy, and surprisingly broad fanbase including plenty of non-metalheads, the show has been one of the most entertaining corners of the PBS grid.
From broadcasting live three times from Wacken Open Air in Germany, the worlds biggest metal festival, to unexpected crossovers with Hamish and Andy, Screaming Symphony has done it all. Come down, raise your horns, and help send off a PBS institution thats been banging heads and breaking boundaries for nearly three decades.
Come say goodbye and send Screaming Symphony off in true, heavy metal style.
