We've lined up a stellar roster of your fave local artists and some exciting new talents breezing through town! This week James Range Band, Squid Nebula and Callystha are stopping by for a show. We are a young up and coming band out of Utju, west of Alice Springs. We plan to make you stop, listen and dance to our incredible sounds. Having grown up together nestled in the beautiful mountains of Utju, us fellas have been heavily influenced by the sounds of our music heros, the desert, our language and culture. We sing bilingually in both Pitjantjatjara and English about our families, culture and our land. For over a decade now, Squid Nebula have been lighting up dancefloors across Narrm with their unique blend of soul, disco and psychedelia and fronted by the hypnotic vocals of Noongar musician Bumpy. In that time Squid Nebula have made their way from regular residencies for Cherry Bars Soul Night on AC/DC lane in 2015 to sets at festivals such as Queenscliffe Music Festival, Strawberry Fields and Loch Hart and supporting Zamrock legends W.I.T.C.H. In 2023, the band released their debut album From Here To You on Chris Gills Northside Records which received Album of the Week nods from Triple R and 2SER.CALLYSTHA (kal-ISS-tuh) makes music for all the silly geese out there. Drawing inspiration from artists like Deerhoof, Talking Heads, and St. Vincent, the 25-year-old Naarm-based singer/producer has been quietly stockpiling goofy indie-rock bangers ready to bless everyones ears. Her debut single #nonchalant (released on July 30, 2025) earned an enthusiastic response from the local scene, leading to an almost sold-out headline show in Naarm back in September 2025. This Jakarta-born, self-proclaimed silly goose is on the loose and you need to keep an eye on her.Social Sanctuary is proud to be sponsored by Mountain Goat. Our show is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners of this land we are gathered on. We also pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and Aboriginal Elders of other communities that may join us for our show.THIS SHOW IS STRICTLY 18+Northcote Social Club strives to create a safe space that everyone can enjoy.
