- The Lowland Rogues will take you on a trip back to the 70swhen British Folk Rock took the country by storm!

You may well remember Ashley Hutchings of Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span & The Albion Band plus the others like Lindisfarne, The Oysterband and more, but if not, then youre in for a treat. 1969/70 were groundbreaking years for a genre that had not previously existed. Old & ancient traditional songs were remodelled and dragged into a rock context, running parallel to the burgeoning Glam Rock, and thrust onto an unsuspecting audience. And they loved it! Many a folkie today was introduced to folk music due to them, and the effects still echo today. If it wasnt for Ashley and those bands, and their like, Folk Rock today may not even be a thing!
...it even influenced the likes of Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull and more. As Bob Dylan said, My friend Ashley is the godfather of Folk Rock. He made us a genre we couldnt refuse!

The Rogues will take you back for a taste of this historic past.
A retro sound and itll be fun!
