Rupert Guenther holds a B Mus in Violin Performance from University of Melbourne. He studied with Harry Hutchins (a student of Carl Flesch), then attended masterclasses with European violin pedagogue Professor Igor Ozim and studied extensively with two of Igor Ozims proteges Brian Finlayson and Helfried Fister in Austria. He is also influenced by Norwegian violinist Terje Moe Hansens all-interval approach to string playing.
