Legendary propaganda rock band The Beards are back! After playing two blistering sets at this year's Bluesfest and announcing a run of capital city appearances later this year, the beloved Aussie four-piece have announced extra shows for Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide after tickets sold out in a matter of days.

It's good to know that people are still enthusiastic about beards. Said frontman Johann Beardraven ahead of the announcement.

Brisbane's The Triffid, Melbourne's Corner Hotel and Adelaide's The Gov will be treated to a second helping of beard love, with the Adelaide performance taking place on Father's Day and billed as an all-ages family-friendly affair.

This will be a good opportunity for us to indoctrinate the next generation with our fiercely pro-beard dogma. Explained bassist Nathaniel Beard. Young minds are fertile ground in which to sow the seeds of extreme beard-appreciation, and we're thrilled to be able to bring our message to both the initiated and people who weren't even born when we stopped touring in 2016.

With crowd favourites like 'No Beard No Good', and 'If Your Dad Doesn't Have a Beard You've Got Two Mums', audiences in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane have the opportunity to see this refreshingly-original, highly-energetic and always-entertaining cult sensation in action.
