The Boy Who Caught the Sun - Film Fundraiser Event
Get down to the
Barwon Club for a Sunday Session in the bandroom to help raise funds for an upcoming Geelong-based student film. The fundraiser includes a raffle, as well as an array of Geelong-based musical performances spanning the genres of Indie Rock to Funk & Soul Sunday 31st September.
The film, The Boy who Caught the Sun follows Carter, a passionate musician who has grown up in Rural Victoria. As his 18th birthday approaches, pressures from his parents force him to confront the choice of growing up, and he struggles to grapple with the idea of leaving that nostalgia of his childhood behind.
Star Studded Line up includes;
Chloe Breen (Soul/Pop) - An upcoming solo singer, covering a powerhouse tracklist of strong female artists.
Red-Eyed Rumours (Rock/Alternative) - A hard-rocking four-piece with alternative originals and a style like no other.
Members of the Sweethearts (Funk/Soul/Jazz) - A soulful group of female artists with an expansive taste for soul music and rhythmic tunes.
Harry Jones (Indie/Acoustic) - A powerful solo frontman with an emotional and Jeff Buckley-esque approach to music.
