Four-piece Sydney/Eora band The Buoys return from touring Europe with new single 'Bitch' in hand. Playing shows across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth in November and December. Bitch, produced by ARIA Award-winner Chris Collins (Matt Corby) and mastered by George Georgiadis, the taps into the moment that inspired the song: being unfairly labelled just for having an opinion. The word bitch gets thrown at women who dare to take up space, and the more powerful and wise they are, the more it seems to happen.
Since their formation, The Buoys have carved out a distinct place in Australias music scene, releasing a run of standout singles and EPs that led to their debut album, Lustre, in 2024. The album received critical acclaim, debuting at #7 on the Australian Album ARIA charts, and was named triple js Featured Album in July, later earning a nomination for Australian Album of the Year. Lustre explores themes of empowerment, resilience, and the complexities of modern relationships, all delivered with the bands signature raw intensity.
