Perth NIN aficionados SIX INCH SCREWS drill down deep into 1994 to celebrate the 31ST ANNIVERSARY of Nine Inch Nails all-time classic alternative album "THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL" at AMPLIFIER BAR in PERTH on SATURDAY 6 DECEMBER, performing the album in full including "Closer", "March Of The Pigs", "Heresy", "Hurt" and "Piggy", and a selection of Nine Inch Nails fan faves!

Predecessor Pretty Hate Machine hardly hinted at the ferocious scrapes and broken-glass textures Reznor would unleash five years later on Spiral. The term industrial itself describes his relentless aural assault so accurately you cant listen without imagining whole factories of grinding guitars and razor-sharp percussion hammering down on your psyche. When I rented the place, I didnt realize it was that house, claimed NINs Trent Reznor about recording Spiral in the onetime home of Manson-family victim Sharon Tate. Despite a million electrical disturbances, Reznor made the most successful album of his career a cohesive, willful, and overpowering meditation on the central theme running through all of NINs videos, live shows, music, and lyrics: control. Despite The Downward Spiral seeming so unpalatable the sound, as Trent put it in 1998, of shedding skin, taking a layer off and analysing it the album became an unprecedented success. Upon its release, it reached Number Two in the Billboard 200. ... All I hope is that there are a few people wholl think, Wow, Im not the only person who thought those things, Trent said upon its release.
