THE MAES ABREAST ALBUM TOUR
The Maes return to QLD with spellbinding album Abreast come soak in a night of modern folk and lush harmonies.
The Maes are celebrating the release of their fourth studio album, Abreast with a national headline tour across their favourite cities and small towns in Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia.
In 2025 so far, theyve opened for Grace Petrie in the UK, played the Shetland and Orkney Folk Festivals, and celebrated release day with a sold-out folk-festival-style event, Abreastival in their hometown of Castlemaine, Central Victoria.
Their previous albums 2019s self-titled record and 2017s Take Care, Take Cover won the Music Victoria Folk/Roots Album of the Year among a host of other accolades.
The Maes bring modern folk to life with lush harmonies and acoustic mastery on guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and banjo. Sisters Maggie and Elsie Rigby are outstanding live performers, known for their engaging storytelling and spine-tingling harmonies.
As well as selling out shows across Australia and overseas, their international festival appearances include Telluride Bluegrass Festival (USA), Edmonton Folk Festival (Canada), Orkney Folk Festival (UK) and Woodford Folk Festival (AUS).
