The Vasco Era: CHEEKY MIDWEEKY

Mo's midweek special CHEEKY MIDWEEKY is pumped to welcome one of the venue's fave Aussie bands THE VASCO ERA to the Clubhouse for a special scene return tour show this December.

After thirteen years out of the studio, the Melbourne/Surf Coast band (Sid ONeil, Ted ONeil and Michael Fitzgerald) are back. Their highly anticipated return to the sonic sphere is led by pulsing new single I Dont Mind, the first taste of their forthcoming album of the same name, due this September.

Following standout albums Oh We Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside (2007), Lucille (2009), and The Vasco Era (2011), the band return with a new album produced by longtime collaborator Greg Rietwyk (Lunchroom Records), capturing their raw energy with renewed focus. Its all the usual chaos of the beloved Vascoemotion, sweat, volumebut now its sharpened and matured.

The Vasco Era have graced some of Australia's most iconic stages with headline shows at The Forum and Corner Hotel, while earning international acclaim at festivals like Chinas Midi Modern Music Festival, The Great Escape (UK) and CMJ Music Marathon (USA).  In Australia they have won crowds over at some of our biggest festivals including Big Day Out, Blues Fest, Laneway, Southbound and Queenscliff to name a few, along with supporting heavy-weight acts such as You Am I, Violent Femmes, The Black Keys and Placebo.

After twenty years of screaming it out to entranced onlookers, they know exactly what they want to say and how to say it.
