Emma Lombardi - With strong influences from R&B and neo-soul, Emma Lombardi presents a captivating and soulful Graduation Recital. Having grown up listening to R&B icons such as Mary J. Blige and Ms. Lauryn Hill, Emma draws inspiration from their music to deliver a soulful, vibrant set including original works that reflect a blend of her own sound and embody her creative artistry.
With her time studying at WAAPA coming to an end, this performance showcases Emmas musical and technical development, as well as her evolution as a performer. Blending vocal technique, emotional connection and storytelling, her recital offers an authentic expression of the artist she has become.
Katie Dobson - Geordie singer-songwriter, Katie Dobson pays homage to her love for Irish folk music and literature, writing music that offers the warm familiarity of home. She finds inspiration in the intricate details of life and uses her music to shows this. In her final year studying the Bachelor of Contemporary Performance at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), she is currently developing her artistry and beginning the journey that will set her up for an aspirational career. Currently in the process of recording her debut album, Katies recital will feature all original music written over the past year.
