Owen grew up in the winery at Eastern Peake in Coghills Creek, Victoria. By 15, hed already made his first Pinot Noir. In 2013, he launched Latta Vino to give himself the space to explore different varietals and sites across Western and Central Victoria, working with low or no sulfur and minimal intervention.
Its not just about the wine for Owen its about the soil, the sustainability, and the bigger picture. Hes constantly evolving, and it shows. Along the way, hes picked up recognition like Gourmet Traveller Wines Young Winemaker of the Year (2018) and, most recently, the 2025 Young Gun of Wine.
