Four of Brisbanes best loved bands come together to help celebrate the landmark 50th birthday of community radio 4ZZZ.

Across two nights at The Cave Inn, classic Brisband Dream Poppies perform their celebrated album Poppycock in full, sharing the bill with We All Want To, Isis and Sarah Stockholm (Duo). These artists share rich and storied connections to 4ZZZ - from multiple Hot 100s placements, performing at Market Day events and numerous on-air interviews - all adding up to a legacy of years of cherished support, recognition and love for the music.

This project is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.

______

DREAM POPPIES
During the guitar drenched decade that was 1990s Brisbane, the Dream Poppies created their own brand of indie pop, being variously described as "saccharine piss-take power pop", "edgy loud/quiet girly guitar pop" and "catchy melodic fuzz pop". The band released 6 EPs and an album, dominated the 4ZZZ Hot 100s, performed around Australia, toured the USA, enjoyed Triple J high rotation and shared more major national/international bills than can be counted. Recently, the band's discography has made its way to streaming/download platforms and the remastered Favourites compilation was released on vinyl in 2023. Since 2000, the band has performed only three times making these upcoming shows celebrating their album Poppycock and 4ZZZs 50th birthday even more special.

WE ALL WANT TO
Boasting members from some of Brisbanes best-loved bands, We All Want To are a primal collision of poppy punk, sweet folk, gritty blues and grandiose soundscapes, swirled into singalong anthems and intimate whispers, at once powerful and fragile. Their line up has always been fluid, revolving around Screamfeeders Tim Steward, drummer Dan McNaulty and vocalist/percussionist/guitarist Skye Staniford. The band have released six albums, the latest being 2021s Touching Electricity, and in 2020 they released their mini documentary A Quiet Place, focussed around a recording session for the album. Their second album Come Up Invisible was a finalist for the Australian Music Prize in 2015, and tracks from all their releases have featured heavily on their beloved 4ZZZ.

ISIS
Isis are a much-loved Brisbane band built around the core line-up of singer/songwriters Lucinda Shaw, Rozi Pizzey, Toni Lawson and multi-instrumentalist James Lees. Beginning in Brisbane in the 1990s, they blazed a trail throughout their home city and the nation, becoming known for their elaborately staged shows, genre-hopping music and the three lusciously entwined voices. Many of their songs addressed gender politics, feminism and queer sexuality. In their first incarnation, the band created four independent releases, performed at numerous festivals, scored multiple positions in the 4ZZZ Hot 100 and secured an enduring and dedicated fanbase. Recently,  Isis has enjoyed presenting a series of a series of intimate acoustic shows as well as performing for Brisbane Powerhouse, Festival 2018 and the landmark closing event at their spiritual home venue, The Zoo,

SARAH STOCKHOLM
Sarah Stockholm fuses together 70s/80s post-punk and synth-pop with moody atmospherics to create dark and danceable electronica. Performing in rare duo mode Stockholm will lay bare her songs, scratching at the soft underbelly of deeply personal lyrics - sharp angles and cool lushness will way to sparse, haunting arrangements and Sarahs arresting vocals. Sarah Stockholm released 2023 album Trace of Humanity to wide praise and strong community radio play from the likes of 4ZZZ and 3RRR in Melbourne. She has performed at iconic venues across Brisbane and a range of festivals include Queensland Cabaret Festival, Spark Festival and Sunlit Sounds.
